How Christmas Hope Works

Please complete these three steps in order. Applying online is always the first step.

STEP 1 — APPLY ONLINE FIRST

Complete and submit the Christmas Hope application online. Do not visit the church for document verification until you have submitted your application. Applying does not guarantee approval.

STEP 2 — VERIFY YOUR DOCUMENTS IN PERSON

After applying online, bring your documents to Southside Worship Centre, 55 Emperor Street, Ajax, ON. Use the south entrance marked “Office Entrance.”

Verification hours: Monday–Thursday, 1:30–5:30 p.m. No appointment is needed during these hours. For an alternative time, email mchandler@southsidewc.com.

Bring: government-issued identification showing your Ajax address, identification for every household member (including children), and a 2025 CRA Notice of Assessment for each adult who files taxes. Do not email or upload personal documents.

STEP 3 — RECEIVE APPROVAL, THEN SELECT YOUR COLLECTION TIME

After your documents have been verified, we will review your application. Only applicants who have completed verification and have been approved will receive an email invitation to select a Christmas Hope collection time. You cannot select a Christmas Hope collection time before then.

Registration is not open on this preview. The secure application submission service is being completed. Please do not enter personal household information yet.

List every household member, including yourself, with their full legal name and date of birth. For adults, indicate whether they file income taxes.

Any deliberate misrepresentation, false information, or dishonesty during the application or verification process will result in removal from the Christmas Hope program.
